Chest Pain or Tightness
The most well-known sign of heart problems is chest pain or discomfort — often described as pressure, squeezing, fullness, or a burning sensation in the center of your chest. It may last a few minutes or come and go. Many people mistake it for indigestion or heartburn. The pain might spread to your shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, or back. Any unexplained chest discomfort that lasts more than a few minutes needs immediate medical attention.
